Full Text: In late December 2025, American YouTuber and IRL streamer Darren Jason Watkins Jr., known as IShowSpeed, launched "Speed Does Africa," a live-streamed 28-day tour across 20 African countries. Born January 21, 2005, the 21-year-old internet celebrity announced he would visit Algeria, Angola, Benin, Botswana, Egypt, Eswatini, Ethiopia, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Liberia, Morocco, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, South Africa, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. The tour began December 29, 2025, with streams broadcast on his YouTube and Twitch channels to his 60+ million subscribers.
IShowSpeed visited Liberia on January 24, 2026, for a sports and tourism event previously announced by the Liberian government. According to the press release, the visit was organized by the National County Sports Meet committee, the Liberia Tourism Authority, and the Ministry of Youth and Sports as part of President Joseph Boakai's strategy to promote Liberian sports and youth culture globally.
The main event was an exhibition football match at the SKD Sports Complex at 3:30 p.m. between Nimba County (the 2025/2026 National County Sports Meet champions) and a County Meet All-Stars team led by coach Samir Kamara. IShowSpeed livestreamed the match for up to five hours, providing major international visibility for Liberia. He participated in the game, playing one half for each team to symbolize national unity. Officials viewed this as an opportunity to rebrand Liberia through sports tourism and digital engagement.
On January 25, Aloysius Howe, special aide to Liberia's former finance minister Tweah, made a post questioning why IShowSpeed had deleted all content and videos about Liberia from his official Facebook page. The post attracted 70 reactions, 221 comments, and 2 shares, with many raising similar concerns, especially since IShowSpeed had already made two separate posts about his Ivory Coast tour less than 24 hours after that visit.

As of January 25, 2026, Watkins, known for his high-energy and often unpredictable online persona, had completed 16 of the 20 countries: Angola, South Africa, Botswana, Eswatini, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Rwanda, Kenya, Ethiopia, Morocco, Algeria, Nigeria, Liberia, Ivory Coast, and Benin.
Verification: To establish the facts, we checked all of IShowSpeed's social media handles: Facebook (two pages), Instagram, and YouTube.
We scrolled through Darren's verified Facebook handle tagged "IShowSpeed" with 7.8 million followers and found no posts about his visit to Liberia. As of the time of this check, the last three posts were all from his visits to Ivory Coast, Benin, and Nigeria.
Unverified Facebook Account
We came across another Facebook account (Speed), though not verified, and found four separate posts about his Liberian tour: here, here, here, and here.
The second post about Liberia was made on January 24 at 8:16 p.m., hours after his tour. Captioned "W Liberia 🇱🇷 Liberia Showed Out ❤️," it generated 36K reactions, 1.2K comments, and 472 shares.
The first post announcing his visit was captioned "🚨| BREAKING: Speed will be going LIVE in LIBERIA tomorrow 🤯🇱🇷" and attracted 17K reactions, 481 comments, and 124 shares. The "Speed" account also has an announcement of his upcoming Ghana tour, in addition to previous posts about visits to other countries: Ivory Coast, Benin, and Nigeria, among others.

We also found his YouTube post from a day ago about Liberia. The post has one million views, 3,932 comments, and 61K likes. The post is one of his highest-performing streams from his tour so far.

Conclusion: No evidence IShowSpeed deleted all the content and videos about Liberia from his official Facebook page. While his verified Facebook handle does not seem to have information about his tour in the country, his other Facebook and YouTube accounts do.
After a review of his Twitter, YouTube, and verified Facebook accounts, it is safe to say that the claim is unverified.
