Claim: "President Boakai is in Lofa."

Source: Acarious Moses Gray, former Representative of District #8 Montserrado County and CDC stalwart

Verdict: Misleading

Full Text: During a Facebook Live interview on SPOON TV LIVE's full coverage of today's July 17 protest, Gray said they will only present their petition to the President of the Republic of Liberia, even though the president flew to Lofa County on a private jet. The claim is found at 5:36:32 seconds of the live coverage.

Verification: Stage Media Liberia's fact-checking investigation reveals that former Representative Acarious Moses Gray's claim about President Joseph Nyuma Boakai being in Lofa County is categorically false.

At the time of Gray's statement during the SPOON TV LIVE interview, President Boakai was actually present at the Ministerial Complex in Congo Town, Monrovia, where he was attending the official launch of the Liberia AI Challenge.

Previously, the Executive Mansion announced on its Facebook page that "President Boakai will this afternoon launch the Liberia AI Challenge 2025 for young Liberians at the EJS Ministerial Complex in Congo Town."

We also saw the president in the same live coverage making remarks at the above event. Boakai can be heard at7:4:56 in the video making remarks at about 4:30 P.M.

Conclusion: Gray's statement was made during SPOON TV's live coverage of ongoing protests, potentially contributing to misinformation about the President's whereabouts during a significant public event.
