For many Liberians struggling with unemployment, this appeared to be a golden opportunity with one of the country's most established public utilities.

The Liberia Water and Sewer Corporation stands as one of Liberia's oldest public institutions, established in 1973 through an act that amended the Public Utilities Law. For over five decades, LWSC has carried the crucial mandate of constructing, installing, establishing, operating, managing, and supplying safe water services to communities across the country. Beyond water provision, the corporation also handles sewerage services and maintains water and sewerage infrastructure nationwide.

We also reached out directly to LWSC's Managing Director, Mohammed Ali, to confirm or deny the recruitment claims.

Our investigation discovered no legitimate recruitment drive exists.
